• Start the exercise by extending your left arm straight out to the left, if you happen to be a right-handed golfer, or extend out your right arm if you are a left-handed player.
• Place this hand you have just extended on top of a golf club that is sitting perpendicular to the ground. Join your other hand on top of the club also.
• Now bend your upper body down, putting pressure on the club. You should be feeling a stretch in your shoulder.
• Then hold this position for about ten to fifteen seconds.
• Repeat with the opposite side for a follow-through stretch.
• Try this exercise before you tee off or start your round of golf. Since this stretch can be done quickly, you can also do it right before any shot to get more distance and power.

• Pay attention to the hips. You should be sure to fully rotate your hips during your golf swing. In your final position after your follow-through, you will want your hips pointing directly out towards the direction you desire the golf ball to fly.
• Your golf swing speed is increased by quickly turning the middle of your body. Do not try to gain more speed by moving your arms, shoulders, or wrists. Your body should work in coordination.
